#8: Bontrager Border Battle

From The Director...
The Bontrager Border Battle, race # 8 in the 2010 Wisconsin Off Road Series (WORS) and the eighth race of the 2010 Minnesota State Championship Series (MNSCS). Wisconsin has captured the first two titles of this annual event, but every season the slate is cleaned off and new competition begins. Residents of Minnesota and Wisconsin will compete for bragging rights and a traveling trophy as part of this event. Minnesota is ready for a rematch!
The trail run is back by popular demand. Part of the WORS trail run series you can have your points tracked or just race for the day. Sponsored by KORC. 5k and 10k options. Running begins Sunday at 8:30 am.
Local MTB club Kinnickinnic Off-Road Cyclists (KORC) bring the Bontrager Border Battle to you. White Tail Ridge Corporate Park, in River Falls, plays host to this popular event. The trails at White Tail Ridge present a course that is a challenging mix of predominantly single and double track with some areas of wide-open field sections. Conveniently located just south of interstate 94, a short drive from the Minneapolis area, and with easy access for Wisconsin locals, the Bontrager Border Battle beckons all to come witness and participate in this fun event.

Course Description
This course will challenge every level of racer with its fast flowing hardpack singletrack; roots and rocks; short, steep downhill and uphill sections; uphill switchbacks; grassy, wide open field sections; technical climbs; and a generous amount of flowing doubletrack. Late Registration (On Site): Saturday 3-6 pm, Sunday 7:30 am until 1/2 hour before the start of your race.

How To Get There
From the East or West: Exit #3/State Highway 35, off of Interstate 94. Proceed south approximately 5 miles on state highway 35. Turn right at White Tail Boulevard (sign notes Paulson Rd, watch for the signs on the highway!) and follow the signs to parking and the racecourse.
