#11: Bear Paw Rock & Roll
Bear Paw Outdoor ~ White Lake, WI

From The Director...
The Bear Paw welcomes you to the newest venue in WORS. An access issue forced, the Wolf River Rendezvous to moved 25 miles north to the Bear Paw Outdoor Adventure Resort in 2009. For 2010, the event has a new name, “The Bear Paw Rock and Roll”. An appropriate name for this course, as it combines rough challenging single track that rolls and weaves around and over boulders, roots, and logs with fast hard double track and a couple of good climbs. This mix of beautiful Northwoods Forest trails ensures good speed and plenty of passing room.
The Bear Paw course features Hiekenen’s Hell, the highest hill on the course; the Boy Scout Switchbacks, nice downhill switchbacks with banked turns; Dewberry which challenges racers with two short steep climbs and then some weaving between boulders; the Flat Tire Rock Trail, the name says it all and finally the Balance Rock Trail, a curvy rock garden wear you’ll want to keep your eyes open for the huge balance rock.
The Bear Paw Adventure Resort has been around for 15 years and specializes in Outdoor Recreation, especially whitewater kayaking and Mountain Biking. It offers camping and lodging in rustic cabins, beautiful modern cabin rooms and chalets. Whether your interest is hiking, fishing, kayaking, biking or swinging in a hammock, you will find it at the Bear Paw. Fill your day with fun and adventure, relax in our cabins or campground and dine at our onsite restaurant featuring delicious homemade pizza and satisfying beverages! This rewarding Northwoods experience will be have you coming back to visit again and again.
Mountain biking videos will be shown in the bar on Saturday night before the race. Bring you own homemade videos for the Capital Brewery homemade video contest for a chance to win some nice swag.
