While you are waiting for the trails to dry out, consider taking in a spring classic race, right up there with the Tour of Flanders or Paris-Roubaix.

Pretty much the same race as in past years. Cheap if you pre-register, $20. Less cheap if you don't. Please pre-register. If you are a Junior age (high school) racer this is a $5 race. But only if you pre-register.
Checking the course out is free. Click on the detail course map link, click on peg man to highlight streetview roads. Drag and drop peg man to roll up the rise to the finish or cruise the double hump in the southeast corner where the selections are made. If you puke on the climb it means you need a new keyboard and maybe a few more hard miles.
I always thought the course was kind of remote. But if the streetview van has been there maybe running water is just around the corner. Or maybe not.
A strong point of the venue is that the rollers are endless. That means you probably won't get dropped until you are totally blown and drooling. A lot of you seem to like that.
The venue has its shortcomings, one is that we can't run two waves and another is that we're maxed in the number of fields we can run at one time. It also doesn't accommodate large fields well. If you are a Cat 4/5/Citizen that means if you want to do the 3 lap race you are strongly advised to pre-register because that is the one with the most entry pressure and we have a 50 rider field limit there. A lot of the two lap race is overflow from the three lap race, if that's not what you want to do then send a letter and you're clear. We'll stick you if you wait until the day of the race and we'd really rather not do that. Please pre-register.
We do not hit anyone with a single day license fee, that makes this a good event for the person that wants to give road racing a try. If you pre-register it will be cheaper here than anywhere else. If you don't have a license you can enter either of the two races open to citizen racers. Older citizen racers may enter the age graded races.
Pain will be awarded in abundance, as always.
If there are any last minute updates including weather related info it'll be on facebook:

Just a reminder, pre-registration closes Saturday, April 14th. If you are planning on doing the race, you can save $10 by mailing in your entry. The long term forecast looks good.
Pre-reg is $20, $5 for juniors. Everyone is $30 day of the race.
